The submarine is inscribed 'E.I.', 'COMMANDER NOEL LAURENCE LARGE GERMAN TRANSPORT SUNK JULY 30 1915 GERMAN CRUISER MOLTKE TORPEDOED AUG 19TH 1915'. The maker's name is printed on the base and also that of the retailer 'F. KEEPING 9 & 10 HIGH STREET WESTON SUPER MARE'.
