A porcelain plate commemorating the 500th anniversary of the death of Henry the Navigator in 1460. On a white background is printed in sepia a depiction of the departure of Vasco de Gama (ca.1469-1524) on his voyage to India, inscribed 'PARTIDA DE VASCO DA GAMA PARA A INDIA'. On the reverse: 'V CENTENÁRIO DA MORTE DO INFANTE D. HENRIQUE 1460-1960' and the maker's name.
