Plate
Earthenware mess plate, transfer-printed in black with simple geometrical designs around the borders. A central circle encloses the mess number '15'. Naval messes had to buy their own crockery at this period and such items were manufactured for this market. This item was found by a diver on Lulworth Banks near Portland Bill, with a cup possibly from the 'Adventure'.
