Tureen
Ironstone china mess soup tureen, white, printed in blue with a 'Blackberry Pattern' border. It shows scrolling blackberry briars, flowers, fruit and leaves, edged with rope. The tureen has handles moulded with a leaf pattern and a cover with a recessed knop and a hole for the ladle. China of this pattern was used in Royal Naval Colleges at the begining of the twentieth century. China of this pattern was used in Royal Naval Colleges at the begining of the 20th century. The maker's mark is printed and impressed on the base.
