Fluted white plate, possibly for cake, with a gold Admiralty seal device surmounted by a Tudor crown (a foul anchor surrounded by the inscription 'SIGIL : OFFI : MAG : ADMIR : MAG : BR : &C'). Government issued china, as used by Royal Navy commanding officers and later flag officers between 1924 and 1955. The maker's mark is printed and impressed on the base.
