Saucer
A white porcelain saucer, as used on HMY 'Victoria and Albert' 1899. A broad green border runs around the edge, with a heavily gilt interlaced rope pattern. The border is decorated with four garter badges, two with 'HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE' on the garter and the royal monogram 'GR V' in the centre, the other two with 'THE ROYAL YACHT' on the garter and a gold foul anchor in the centre. The mark of Copeland and the retailer 'T. GOODE & CO LONDON' are placed on the base with the painted pattern number 'C1083'.
