Bowl with lid
A white porcelain sugar bowl with a gilt rim and foot decorated with thin blue lines, as used on the royal yachts. The two handles on the base are formed of entwined acanthus stalks, the leaves outlined in blue. The single handle on the lid is of a similar design. The retailer's name 'J. WHITMAN COWES ROYAL YACHT' is inscribed on a crowned pink garter badge printed on the base with the painted pattern number '5300 O'.
