Plate

A white porcelain dessert plate with a slightly indented gilt rim, as used on the royal yachts. There is a thin blue line around the edge. The maker's mark is impressed indistinctly on the base with the painted pattern number '5300'. The retailer's mark is a printed garter badge with a queen's crown above, inscribed 'J. WHITMAN COWES ROYAL YACHT'. There are 17 similar items in the collection AAA5455-AAA5471.
