Plate

White porcelain plate, as used on the royal yachts. It has a gilt wave pattern around the rim and the royal monogram of Queen Victoria in gilt, 'VR I' with a coloured crown above, in the centre. The retailer's name is transfer-printed on a crowned garter badge on the base: 'NIXON & SON WINDSOR, WINDSOR CASTLE'. There is also a painted pattern number 'N A5210 X'.
