A union shield inscribed 'QUIS SEPARABIT' and the arms of the members of the British Empire are placed around the border of the plate with the inscriptions 'CANADA', 'NOVA SCOTIA', 'NEWFOUNDLAND * NEW BRUNSWICK', 'JAMAICA', 'GREAT BRITAIN', 'B. GUIANA', ' STRAITS SETTLEMENT * HONG KONG', 'BAHAMAS', 'AUSTRALIA', 'CEYLON', 'NEW ZEALAND * FIJI *TASMANIA', 'B. BURMA', 'CAPE COLONY', 'OR. COLONY', 'SIERRA LEONE * GOLD COAST', 'LAGOS', 'TRANSVAAL', 'GIBRALTAR', 'CHANNEL ISLES * MALTA *ST HELENA', 'CYPRUS', 'INDIA' , 'TRINIDAD', 'COLOMBIA * WEST INDIES * B. HONDURAS', 'SOUDAN'.
