Mug

An earthenware mug, printed with a coloured design showing the conjoined haeds of of George V (1865-1936) and Queen Mary surrounded by a laurel wreath with the crown above. The portraits are flanked by the Union Flag, Red Ensign, St George's Flag and St Andrew's Flag, a rose, thistles and shamrock are shown below with '1910 1935' on a ribbon below. A ribbon around the rim of the mug is inscribed 'GEORGE . V . AND . QUEEN . MARY . SILVER JUBILEE'. On the otherside a warship and the inscription 'HMS "QUEEN ELIZABETH" FLAGSHIP MEDITERRANEAN FLEET 1933-1935'. The maker's mark is printed on the base.
