Mug
Bone china mug commemorating the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of York in 1986. The mug is white, with a gilt rim and moulded handle. It is decorated with a circular colour portrait of the couple flanked by flower sprays, the Duke in naval uniform. Below the picture on a ribbon 'THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF YORK', inscribed beneath: 'TO COMMEMORATE THEIR WEDDING AT WESTMINSTER ABBEY ON WEDNESDAY, 23rd JULY 1986'. On the other side, to the right of the handle, a colour transfer of wedding bells, ribbons and the monogram 'AS'. The maker's mark is printed on the base.
