Scale 1:120. The fourth of six bound plans showing the orlop deck of the 'Dromedary' [ex 'Howe', ex 'Shah Kaikusroo'] (1799), a prison ship based at Bermuda. The plan has been signed by a 'Mr. Reid'.
A note on the drawing reads: 'This deck holds 100 prisoners and might be made to hold 200. The cells for restraining convicts should be placed longitudinally as Transverse partitions impede the free ventilation of air from stem to stern'.
