Bird to commemorate the inaugeration of the Israel-Italy Submarine Telephone Cable System in 1975. The telephone cable was laid between Palo, Italy and Tel Aviv, Israel by HMTS/CS 'Alert'. The manufacturer was Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd and the operator, Italian PTT.
