A 10x8 negative. A general view taken from the Royal Terrace Pier at Gravesend at high tide looking east towards Denton, with Custom House Pier prominent. Gordon Promenade is on the right. The Port Sanitary Authority hulk Hygeia (1865) is on the extreme left. One of the small boats in the foreground has raised bulwarks. Negative number G528 was taken on the same occasion.
