Naval General Service Medal awarded to George Barne Trollope (1779-1850). Obverse: The head of Queen Victoria wearing a diadem and with hair tied in a knot. Legend: 'VICTORIA REGINA 1848'. Reverse: Britannia seated on a sea horse, a trident in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Inscribed on the edge: 'G. B. TROLLOPE LIEUT. RN.', 'Bars: '17 JUNE 1795', 'CAMPERDOWN', 'GRIFFON 27 MARCH 1812'. Suspended from a white silk ribbon with blue edges.
