The tidal basin of Tilbury Docks is in the foreground and the Belgian short sea cargo vessel Topaze (1897), seen from above her port quarter, is alongside the quay on the right side of the image. In number 1 dry dock is the P & O passenger/cargo liner Mooltan (1905), seen from off her port bow.
