Box
Box for a Lloyd's Patriotic Fund £100 Trafalgar pattern presentation sword. It was owned by Vice-Admiral Thomas Dundas (died 1841). Fitted mahogany box lined with blue baize. An inscription on the box (brass plaque on top) reads: 'From the Patriotic Fund Lloyds London to Captn Thos.Dundas of H.M.S. Naiad 1805'. A paper label is adhered to the inside of the lid. The box contains a belt clasp sewn to a length of material.
