Looking aft towards the quarterdeck on HMS 'Penguin' (1876)
A view looking aft towards the quarterdeck from the starboard side of upper deck just of the main mast on the composite screw sloop 'Penguin' (1876). A sailor stands outside the chart room next to the binnacle on the quarterdeck. The sails are furled and the wheel is unmanned, and the quarter davits are empty of ship's boats. The skylight infront of the wheel is open.
