A survivor from the 'Elingamite' (1887) onboard HMS 'Penguin' (1876)

One of the eight survivors of the life raft from the wreck of 'Elingamite' (1876) wrapped in a blanket standing on the upper deck of the composite screw slopp 'Penguin' (1876). Behind him is the wheel and an open skylight, while above is part of the quarterdeck with the base of the binnacle showing. This unknown man also features in negative N64372.
