Jacket from astonomer's observing suit, also comprising ZBA4676 - leggings/trousers. Belonged to Nevil Maskelyne, 5th Astronomer Royal.

Composed of a silk outer layer with a lining made from linen and wool and additional cotton wadding to create a quilted effect.
