Jantar (1958)
A photograph abum of eight 8 "x 6 "prints pasted in, showing the interior of Jantar, a Polish salvage tug built by Charles Hill & Sons Ltd, Bristol in 1958.
1. “Wheelhouse” with a Kelvin Hughes radar display unit in the foreground.
2. “Wireless Room” seemingly well equipped.
3. “View of Control Console at forward end of Engine Room”. An instrument panel.
4. “View looking aft between main engines”.
5. “View of Generator Room showing the three 150 kw Generators” powered by 5-cylinder engines.
6. “Officers’ Dining Saloon” with three tables giving 16 places. Water jugs are conspicuous on the tables.
7. “Officers’ and Crews’ (sic) Dining Saloon”. The two saloons are adjacent, separated by what seems to be a hinged door. Only the officers’ saloon has table cloths.
8. “Captain’s Dayroom”.
The inside of the rear cover has a label “F. G. Warne Ltd. Photographers and Photographic retailers, 13 Small St. Bristol 1” with the annotations HP 1983/15 and 18/3.
