An album of 42 black & white prints measuring 8" x 6" each. The album documents the visit of HM Queen Elizabeth II to the yard of Charles Hill & Sons Ltd, Bristol.
1. The Queen and Prince Philip arriving and being greeted someone assumed here to be Mr Charles Hill, President of the Company, who accompanies the Queen throughout the visit. An open-top limousine is in the background. Local dignitaries are in attendance, possibly including William Jolliffe, 4th Baron Hylton, Lord Lieutenant of Somerset (1949 – 1967); Alderman Harry Crook, JP, Lord Mayor of Bristol (1955–1956); and Alexander Pickard, Town Clerk. . The City Sword-Bearer, Captain G. H. Gibbs, MC, carries a large ceremonial sword.
