A view looking over the foreshore of 'Shotley Gate' across the River Stour towards Harwich
A view looking down a slight slope to the foreshore of 'Shotley Gate' across the River Stour towards Harwich. The Bristol Arms is on the left of the road facing the river. The training ships 'Ganges', (ex-'Minotaur') (1863), and 'Caroline' (1882) and the stern quarter of 'Ganges II' (ex-'Agincourt') (1865) can be seen in the middle distance at moorings.
