Cutlass scabbard
The brown leather scabbard has a brass locket, a frog hook and chape. Inside the throat of the scabbard are two flat springs, which retain the blade in the scabbard by pressing down on each side of the cutlass. The obverse of the scabbard is stamped with a crown motif above the number '2'. The reverse of the scabbard is stamped with the letter 'N'; an arrow above the letters 'WD'; a crown motif with the letter 'E' above and the number '12' below. The obverse of the locket is stamped with a crown motif.
