A blue presentation card box containing 19 card-mounted stereoscopic images, and two single photograph images relating to the 1845 British Northwest Passage Expedition.
A blue presentation card box containing 13 card-mounted stereoscopic images, and two single photograph images, of the Franklin Expedition (1845-8) relics found and brought back to England by Captain Leopold McClintock during his expedition in the yacht Fox between 1857-9. The box contains the printed and annotated descriptive catalogue with the hand-written addition of the print of Sir John Franklin. A further 6 sterescopic prints created from photographs taken by Dr David Walker while the Fox was in the Arctic in 1858-59 are also stored in the box.
