A brown cloth covered album containing 48 carte de visite photographs in window mounts. There is some fading of prints, but the prints are in generally good condition. Some of the negatives have been copied.
The album includes 43 ship portraits of various vessels, dates ranging 1765-1869.
Also included are a portrait of Captain Hugh Talbot Burgoyne VC (1833-1870), an unidentified marine scene, and a portrait of young naval officer named Mitchel.
