Reverse: Three men in a boat pulling a fourth out of the water, a broken spar below. Legend: 'LET NOT THE DEEP SWALLOW ME UP'. On spar: 'W. WYON MINT'. Suspended by a bar attached to two dolphins from a medium blue ribbon. Inscribed on the edge: 'MR. THO. COOPER . JUNIOR voted 3rd FEBY. 1881.'

Thomas William Cooper (1848-1929) was a member of the crew of the Ramsgate lifeboat 'Bradford'. She went to the aid of the 'Indian Chief' wrecked on the Long Sand off Ramsgate on 5 January 1881. There were 11 survivors.
