Album relating to the naval service of Captain Cyril Percy Ryan C.B.
A photograph album with blue board covers, containing 140 photographs pasted in. There are also 43 loose photographs.
Ryan was Cdr. in June 1918 and retired as a Captain on 4th December 1919.
The album relates to Ryan's naval service at Hawkcraig RN Station, Aberdovr, Fife, during World War I.
The album includes photographs of drifter HMS Tarlair (1908) which was Hawkcraig's vessel, views of the station (which are dated), and also of warships in Firth of Forth.
The album also includes the following personalities: Skipper David Allen RNR (skipper of Tarlair), Major George A. Bruce, Lt. James Black.
Some original negatives exist, in the series N11604-N11633.
