Personal album of Maud G. Dare, 1915
This is a photograph album with green board covers and a broken spine. There are 151 photographs pasted in.
Inscribed inside the front cover is "Maud G. Dare - May 10th 15", and in another hand, in pencil "daughter of Adml. Dare, Later married Mr Yorke who was the son of Sir Francis H R Yorke KCB of the admiralty".
The album includes photographs of Admiral Sir Charles Holcombe Dare KCMG, CB, MVO, in 1915; as well as of Idaho (1910) in 1915, which was their hired yacht 1915-19.
Dare was a Commander, 30 June 1900; Read-Admiral, 12 March 1909; Vice-Admiral, 5 March 1915: and then he was Admiral.
