Ocean Camp established on the ice, Weddell Sea
A general view of Ocean Camp sometime after its establishment on abandoning 'Endurance' (1912) on 28 October 1915. Most of the dog-sledges are ready packed in the foreground with the dogs in harness. The left hand sledge is unpacked being worked on. In the background can be seen the crews' tents and a wind break. Washing is hanging on a line between two oars.
