Talamba (1924)

A photograph album with maroon limp covers and a cord binding. The upper cover is covered with an embossed design and the gilt title "Photo-Album", and there is a white ink title to the first page giving a chronology of grounding and salvage. There are 51 black and white photographs (mostly 165mm x 165m) mounted one to a page, affixed with mounting tissue at the corners or transparent corner photo-mounts. There is full captioning, and the pages are interleaved with tissue.
The album describes Talamba's refloating and dry docking after grounding at Lye Mun Pass, Hong Kong, 2nd September 1937 during the Hong Kong Typhoon.
