This is a photograph album with limp brown covers and a cord binding. The upper cover is titled and also has the P&O crest, the inside of the upper cover is inscribed with "C. B. Roche 1933" (it seems that Roche was Staff Commander of the Mongolia at this time). There are 56 black and white photographs affixed with corner mounts. There are white ink manuscript captions to some photographs.
The album features the launch of the vessel on 25th September 1958.
