His Majesty the King launches the battleship H.M.S. ‘King George V’ from the Naval Yard of Vickers-Armstrong Ltd., Newcastle-on-Tyne, February 21st 1939. Yard Number 10.

Bound photograph album measuring 19“x 15” , containing 35 leaves, with 11 photographs, the same as some of those catalogued for Album 714, dry mounted on leaves 2 to 7.. The other leaves have an assortment of press cuttings from around that date. Generally in good condition. Front cover has the title with a version of the supporters from the Royal coat of arms, “dexter a lion rampant gardant Or crowned as the Crest, sinister a unicorn Argent armed”. Also a loose copy of the North Mail for 24th February 1939, “Pictorial Souvenir of the Royal Visit“, 12 pages, one penny.
Leaves 2 to 7: photos as items 1 to 11 in Album 714. Album 744 is similar.

Cuttings on subsequent leaves as follows. Most of the pictures occur in Album 714 but there are also some at the gun inspection shop – leaves 15r, 19, 26 & (the best reproduction.) 28r.
