Equipment model; Anchor model; Killick
Scale: Unknown. A model of a killick from Newfoundland and Massachusetts Bay. The killick consists of two flat pieces of wood tapering to a point at their ends, which have been notched to form a flat cross shape. The single roughly rounded stone is held in place by four wooden sticks coming up through the wooden cross. The sticks are tied with twine to form a neck at the top and a large eye which has been whipped with cord to hold it together. The cable is attached by passing through the eye and knotted.
