Equipment model; Anchor model; Killick

Scale: Unknown. A model of a killick, circa 1880 from Mousehole, Cornwall consisting of a large flat and roughly rectangular light grey stone mounted on its side on two wooden blocks, all of which are held in position by two flat wooden boards secured by metal pins at the top and bottom. On either side of the boards are pinned two flat pieces of metal which curve upwards from the base and finish in a pair of rounded and curved arms. The top of the killick has been drilled to take a large rope ring to which the cable can be attached.
