Equipment model; Anchor model; Half killick

Scale: Unknown. A model of a half killick from Galela, Halmahera, Moluccas. The shank consists of a straight wooden timber, rectangular in section. The flat wooden arm which tapers to a point, passes through the base of the shank and is held to the shank by a wooden peg. There is a rattan lashing supporting the arm to the shank. A small circular stone is secured to the shank by a rattan framework of lashings, just above the crown on the opposite side to the arm. At the top of the shank is a small hole through which a rattan loop passes to which the cable can be attached.
