Equipment model; Anchor model; Half killick

Scale: Unknown. A model of a killick from Brazil as used by the coastal fishing jangadas. The half killick consists of a large cylindrical stone rounded at each end, which rests on a pair of parallel wooden rods. Passing through these rods are two vertical rods which are fastened either side of the stone and crossed above it with twine lashing to form a neck. The rods project through to form a V-shaped structure. There is additional twine lashing on the rods at the base to hold the stone in position.
