Equipment model; Anchor model; Half killick

Scale: Unknown. A model of a half killick from Brunei (Brooketown), North Borneo. The shank consists of a straight wooden timber, rectangular in section through which is pegged a curved wooden arm tapering to a point and held to the shank by a wooden peg. A rattan lashing supports the arm to the shank. There is a small rounded light grey stone secured to the top of the shank by a rope lashing on the same side as the wooden arm. At the crown is a wooden eye carved from the shank through which passes a rattan rope for tripping, one end of which is secured around the shank just above the arm and the other passes through a rope loop at the top of the shank.
