Equipment model; Anchor model; Half killick
Scale: Unknown. A model of a half killick from the River Rokan, East Coast Sumatra consisting of a tall wooden shank circular in section and finishing towards a very narrow point at the crown. The arm is carved from a single piece of wood and is fixed to the shank with a wooden peg and a rattan lashing across to the shank higher up. The arm is also carved to a narrow point to match the shank on the crown as well as having a flat upper face and rounded back finally finishing in a slender narrow point. Towards the top of the shank is a single wooden rod circular in section acting as a stock and is fixed by a series of rattan lashings. There is a fibre rope fixed to the shank by a loop at the junction of the palm and runs up the shank through a pair of small circular loops where it can be attached to a cable.
