Equipment model; Anchor model; Half killick

Scale Unknown. A model of a half killick from the River Siak, East Coast of Sumatra. The shank consists of a tall piece of wood square in section slightly tapering towards the top to which has been lashed a small rectangular block of stone. At the base of the shank is a curved wooden arm finishing in a point which is held in position by two rattan lashings. There is also a rattan eye just above the base and running upto the top of the killick which is possibly a device for tripping when the killick is fouled. At the top of the shank is a small hole though which a rattan loop passes to attach a cable to.
