Equipment model; Anchor model; Half killick

Scale: Unknown. A model of a half killick from the River Siak, East Coast of Sumatra. The wooden shank is square in section and is fitted with a curved wooden arm at the crown which is supported by both a wooden peg and rope lashings at the crown. The arm has a flat upper surface and finishes with a point at the end and it also has a flat oval shaped piece of wood lashed across at right angles on its upper face. There is a rope attached to the crown running through a small rope becket half way up the shank which is possibly used for tripping the anchor when its foul. There is a small oval-shaped grey coloured stone lashed by rope at the top of the anchor just below where it has been drilled for attaching a rope cable.
