Equipment model; Anchor model; Half killick
Scale: Unknown. A model of a half killick from Java, North Coast. The shank consists of a straight wooden timber, circular in section which passes through a flat wooden arm which tapers to a point and is secured in position by a rattan lashing. There is a rattan rope secured to the shank probably used for tripping the anchor. There is a small kidney-shaped light grey stone secured to the top of the shank by a rattan lashing on the same side as the wooden arm. There is also a small wooden rod which is lashed to the shank at right angles forming a cross shape and provides extra support to the stone.
