Paddle steamers, moored alongside the New Packet Wharf, and their tracks through the harbour entrance, have been drawn in blue and partially erased.
The railway joining Kingstown [now Dun Laoghaire] to Dublin was opened in 1834 and a packet harbour was built for services to Holyhead.
