Bound sheet. Hand coloured engraving. Scale: [circa 1:400,000 (bar)]. North at 277 degrees. The bar scales are in English, Spanish and Dutch leagues. Additional Places: Corcubion, Vigo, Caminha. The chart contains three coastal profiles. It is decorated with one ship and one sea creature.

A chart from Anthony Ashley's English edition of 'The Mariners Mirrour'. Lord Howard of Effingham ordered Waghenaer's sea atlas 'De Spieghel der Zeevaerdt' to be translated. It was so popular that 'waggoner' became the English term for a book of charts.
