Bound sheet. Hand coloured engraving. Scale: [circa 1:400,000 (bar)]. North at 112 degrees. The bar scales are in English, Spanish and Dutch leagues. Additional Places: Lowestoft, Yarmouth, Blakeney. The chart contains one coastal profile. It is decorated with seven ships, two engaged in fishing.

A chart from Anthony Ashley's English edition of 'The Mariners Mirrour'. Lord Howard of Effingham ordered Waghenaer's sea atlas 'De Spieghel der Zeevaerdt' to be translated. It was so popular that 'waggoner' became the English term for a book of charts.
