Full hull model; Oar
Oar from a full hull model of a ship's cutter. Model is decked and equipped. "Eurydice" carved on stern. "Mistletoe" carved on backboard. Letter "V" carved on both oar paddles. "Boyne" carved on base. Inscription set into base reads "This boat is made of a part of the Eurydice sunk off the Isle of Wight, 24 March 1878 The stand is part of the Boyne burnt at Spithead 1 May 1795 partly raised 1873 The seats is part of the Mistletoe which was run down by the Alberta Queen yacht in the Solent 18 Aug 1875 Rudder three oars all the letters are made of the Victory Lord Nelson ship Three oars is made of part of the Royal George which sunk at Spithead S Willsteed". Label underneath base reads "SM 142 Model of rowing boat X.PI.".
