Edgar J. March Collection: Photographs 1899-1906
This is a red cloth bound album containing 183 prints of various sizes, mainly snapshots. It is a personal photograph album, but largely concerned with maritime themes.
The album includes the following:
Naval: HMS Royal Sovereign (1891), HMS Good Hope (1901), HMS Polythemus (1881), HMS Sans Pareil (1887).
Also views of various fishing vessels and barges and SS Prince of Wales (date unknown), SS Campania (1891), SS Queen (date unknown), SS Rapide (date unknown).
Visit of President Loubet of France to Dover in 1903
Topographical: Malta, Ramsgate, Kingsgate, Pegwell Bay, Broadstairs, Isle of Man, Liverpool, the Rhine, New Brighton, Menai Strait, Cologne, Bruges, Brussels, Ostend, Gibraltar, Flushing, Margate.
