SS Avare (1912)
This is a brown paper covered tie bound album, containing 165 photographs mounted one to a page.
SS Avare capsized at Hamburg 17th June 1922 during a refit. It was brought upright 17th August 1922, and laid up until 1924 before re-entering service. 49 workmen on board drowned and there were 100 survivors.
