Dish with lid
A white bone china dish and cover, the knob on the lid painted black. In a circle in the centre, a printed black anchor symbol incorporating the letters 'OL'. Printed on the base of the dish 'ORIENT LINE'. The maker's mark is printed on the lid and base. Founded in 1877, the Orient Line ran services to Australia, extending their routes to North American ports in the 1950s.
